How To Remove Green Mold?
We just found a leak in the bathroom and the wall and vanity had mold on it, we threw out the vanity and tore out all the drywall, but there is some greem spots on the wood framing and some on the subfloor. I wanted the floor removed but the place said that its a supporting floor and that the mold could be cleaned off. Plus this is couple spots on other condos wall with mold. So what should I use to get it all cleaned off? And if that does not work then I will demand removal. They told me bleach and water, do I need to scrub it off or just spray?

checked out your other answer and they all have something in common. They all tell you how to make what you see disappear, but none of them mention how to actually kill the mold spores you cannot see.
For that, you need the following. We used it as paint contractors and this is the ONLY thing that will work.
To a gallon of water, temperature doesn’t matter, add 1/2 Cup of bleach (any kind), 1/4 cup of powdered laundry detergent, (like Spick ‘n’ Span, and 1/2 cup of TSP, which is trisodiumphosphate. This can be found at some paint stores, some hardware stores and Lowes and Home Depot. There is now two formulas out but you want the box which is predominantly blue and white. Mix this solution well. Put on rubber gloves if you have sensitive skin and apply this liberally with a sponge, or sponge mop to all surfaces. Let it remain for 10 minutes, then rinse well. Let dry completely before doing anything else to the surface. This will not only remove what you can see, but mold growing behind the walls as well as inside the sheet rock. I am assuming that there is green board (green coated sheetrock) in the bathroom. If not, tear it out and replace it because that is the code in most of the country and repels moisture. A must for bathrooms and kitchens.
Ugh… not bleach! Many environmental agencies now advise against the use of bleach because it changes the ph level of the mold causing it to grow back. When you mix it with water what you are doing is giving the mold more food (water) and it continues to live and grow. All bleach does is remove the stain of mold so it looks like it is gone… but it’s not. Try regular household detergent and a little bit of water. Clean using a circular motion and wipe dry immediately. Leave it for a few hours and come back to it. If you still see mold or smell mold than redo. Hope this helps.
Spray 1/3 bleach and 2/3 water let it sit for les than 5minutes then scrub/wipe it away. It depends on how old the mold is if you will have to scrub or wipe but remember to use some kind of rag that you can throw away after and don’t let your face get to close to the bleach if you breathe to much in it will burn your throat.
Mold is a growth(just like your flowers, or your lawn). What happens when you put bleach on your flowers? You kill them. The mold will die too, including its roots. Spray it & leave it to dry. enough treatment.
Underwatering will also kill your rose plant…so too with mold – let it dry out after the bleaching is a double dose of death. Making sure that it does not get wet again by making sure the new vanity does not leak water, will be a guarantee that the drywall won’t mold up again.
I used straight bleach and a mop – and goggles.
You can also rent a ‘fogger’ from home depot. You put a non-toxic chemical inside, let it run for a few hours, and it kills and coats the mould. Also comes in spray bottles.
i had some green moldy stuff in my bathroom. my mom sprayed it with a concentration of water and bleach then let it soak it for a while before wiping.
bam! and the mold is gone!
