My landlord sent off the test and it came back positive in my house for Geotrichum and Penicillium. My landlord is telling me it is no big deal and they are not harmful molds. Does anyone have any thoughts on what I should do? Are these toxic molds? He is telling me if I move out, it will break my contract and I will have to pay extra and not get my deposit back. My cousin, who use to live next door in this housing project, found black mold growing in her crawlspace. Our crawlspace is connected. The housing authority moved her out and is paying for her new home because of it. She told me that if she had it then I had it. The housing authority told me that there was no mold growing up there maybe to protect themselves. I did my own test to be sure. There ARE signs of mold growing in my home.
